General Job Description:
· Candidate must understand N-tier architecture and have experience in Web technologies (.NET, ASP, VB, ADO, COM/DCOM, IIS, and SQL, preferred). Previous technical experience as a GIS developer and GIS-user (in particular address geocoding and spatial data analysis) is preferred. Experience with open-source GIS packages, ESRI, ERDAS, MapInfo, or Autodesk packages and experience with client-server GIS technologies, web services, and geocoding is strongly preferred.
· Candidate must be a team player (global understanding of team concept and software development) with strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills) who is adaptive, flexible, and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines as necessary.
· Candidate should be familiar with leading design efforts with experience developing Use cases, process flows, storyboards, etc. and experience in Object-Oriented analysis and design.
· Knowledge and experience conducting public health research or a public health background is desired.
· Experience in government contracting environment a plus.
Required Skills: Required experience include: 5+ years in full Software Development Life Cycle experience working under structured development processes on small to medium-sized web-based projects; experience in gathering requirements, and performing analysis and design, assisting and/or conducting public health research projects including background information gathering and plans for data collection, management, and analysis; experience in leading the development, quality assurance, and deployment of mid-level business process support or health-related systems; skilled in creating and managing project schedules using Microsoft Project 2003 or higher. Candidate must have a background in managing and/or developing GIS projects.

Mid-level engineer responsible for performing a wide range of tasks for the FAA’s Terminal Automation Organization. Understanding of systems used in the program management for the acquisition of major systems used nationally for Air Traffic Control Towers and Terminal Radar Approach Control facilities. Interfaces and coordinates with FAA Program and Project Managers, technical and business specialists, commercial vendors, and Washington D.C. support personnel. Performs program management and business case development functions for Terminal Automation Systems. Involved in planning for the migration of existing air-to-ground and ground-to-air data communications systems to future generation systems. In that regard, attends and participates in recurring and diverse planning meetings. Performs investment analysis planning and general written assessments and analyses in response to tasks. Job sometimes requires preparation and coordination of documentation for the FAA’s Joint Resource Council (JRC) or Acquisition Management System. Provides support that transitions existing discrete architectures to common platforms. At a minimum, possesses a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, industrial, mechanical, aeronautical, or computer) from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of 10 years experience in system engineering-related fields, and a college degree in industrial, system, or electronic engineering is required, or a degree in a related computer science field. GSD Depot is an Operations and Maintenance repair location which does repair; troubleshooting and test on fielded units returned from customer sites. Turnaround time is crucial on operational units and engineer/technician is expected to meet tight deadlines and project/site performance requirements. Position is long term and has potential for management/supervision as well as technical growth. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have more than five (5) years of experience and strong digital circuit trouble-shooting skills, with some digital circuit design experience. He/she should understand TTL, and ECL components handling within circuits and boxes. He/she should be familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscope, sampling scope, pattern generator and BER transmitters and receivers. Candidate should have equivalent of B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from a technical school or college. Most importantly, he/she needs to have a strong fundamental engineering knowledge base that allows his/her skill set to grow and expand to other engineering fields such as RF, optics, analog and system level.
