Digital Designer (40-45/hr)

- 5 years minimum experience required

- Embedded microprocessor/microcontroller development

- Analog design experience is a plus

- Any experience with OBD-II or other automotive experience is a strong plus

PCB Designer (25-30/hr)

- 5 years minimum experience required

- Proficient in high density multilayer Microvia designs, analog, digital, & RF

- Capable of creating all forms of documentation including Schematics, BOMS, FAB, and Assembly Drawings

Seeking senior level embedded / firmware engineer to work on exciting scientific applications involving sensors. A unique role that will offer exposure into image processing as well. Will work in a small vibrant, and well established company while wearing many hats. Most of the role is focused on very low level embedded software.

Skills sought include: 5-8+ firmware experience. Prefer a metrology, telecom or consumer electronics background. Must have heavy communication protocol / serial bus experience (TCP/IP, RS232, RS-485, Ethernet etc). Ideal candidate will have experience with MSP430, Dragonball or Renesas experience. Heavy C required. Prior experience with DC Motor control, relays, solenoid, analog or chemical sensors. Understanding of Modems and AT Commands. This role is closer to the hardware than application layer. Strong Physics/Mathematics background and plus coupled with BSEE. Must be willing to learn and expand skill base.

Requirements:

– 10+ years of automotive systems architecture and development experience, using technologies such as CAN and MOST bus, ADAS, GPS, embedded microprocessor and DSP, and graphics and multimedia technologies
– Verifiable track record of developing systems architectures and IC and SOC requirements for automotive telematics, infotainment systems, wireless communications, or related automotive technologies
– In-depth knowledge of embedded system design, micro-processor, signal processing firmware, memory, and bus architectures as related to automotive navigation and infotainment systems, personal navigation systems, telematics and/or consumer entertainment systems
– Expertise with I/O, system function, UART, memory controller, DMA controller, ATAPi interfaces, USB and related technologies
– Technical knowledge of the impact of architecture on software and the interaction between SW and HW, including working knowledge of operating systems, firmware and device drivers
– SystemC/C++, MATLAB, or other modeling languages and tools
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills
– Project management and leadership skills
