Position Summary

Implement the production plan in the form of an operational schedule, with the appropriate fixed horizon, that minimizes inventory and maximizes efficient utilization of labor and production capacity.

·          Perform capacity analysis for labor and production equipment to determine feasibility for the production plan.

·         Create the short-term fixed schedule and orchestrate the implementation of that schedule.

·         Update and monitor reporting systems to insure appropriate progress of the fixed schedule, vendor production, deliveries, and new product launches.

·         Coordinate flow of packaging components from vendors to manufacturing operations or sub contractors.

·         Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies within the department or assigned manufacturing area.

·         Initiate and follow up on writ offs of rejected or obsolete finished goods, component or bulk product.

·         Maintain finished goods “Q-Stat” report and expedite release of salable inventory and project releases dates to customer service departments.

·         Generate all necessary and required reports in a timely manner.

·         Implement all L’Oreal policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the Corporation’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and applicable safety and health procedures.

·         Perform other duties as necessary or required.

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Education:
BS/BA degree in Engineering/Business Management or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment in cosmetics or related field with at least three (3) years experience in production planning preferred.

$5 billion dollar company is currently looking for a chemical engineer to work in a combined Process Engineering/Technical Services role at their Texas refinery in Tyler, Texas.

They will relocate the right candidate and they offer a full benefits package including medical, dental, 401K with match, and a bonus program.

Position Description: Provide Process Engineering assistance in support of Refinery goals/objectives. Position will include monitoring and troubleshooting the refining processes. Responsibilities will also include process design, project development, and economics and planning. Experience preferred in FCCU, Delayed Coking, CCR Platforming, High Severity Hydrotreating, and sulfur handling. Must be able to develop and/or maintain heat and material balances around process units and be experienced using Process Simulators and Distributed Control Systems. Operations or Supervisory experience is a plus. Other areas of interest include budgeting, LP development and operation, short/long term yield estimation, crude and product price forecasting, variable expense tracking, backcasting, and yield accounting support.

Requirements: B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree required Demonstrated ability to independently champion ideas with peers, hourly staff, and management Excellent communication skills Excellent trouble-shooting skills Team player who is self-starter Experience in Cost/Benefit Analysis preferred Process and/or Production Engineering Experience in Refinery or large Petrochemical operating environment preferred Experience with Computer software including Microsoft Office applications Experience with Computer Modeling Software (i.e. Aspen,Hysis) is a plus
