We are seeking an engineering professional for our Johnstown, PA headquarters. As a registered professional (PE) engineer with a minimum of 10 years building systems electrical design experience, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership in the design of electrical power distribution systems for commercial buildings, including mission~critical data centers. Will be responsible for client interface and construction coordination of low and medium voltage applications as well as double ended switchgear, diesel generators, redundant power supply, and UPS systems. Must possess extensive knowledge of NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and electrical equipment construction standards, and have a track record of success in electrical project management or lead electrical design experience in a consulting engineering capacity.

Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing the overall workload of the Engineering and Quality Group
- Managing all engineering and design drawings of all products manufactured
- Creating, implementing, and maintaining Engineering and Quality procedures
- Managing all product certification procedures
- Maintaining engineering drawings, bill of materials, part numbering system(s) and specification updates for all products manufactured
- Establishing and implementing viable process improvement projects
- Implementing an ISO 9001 Quality System
Required Skills:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will hold an Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical discipline) and a minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role, as well as five years’ engineering and quality experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of a quality management system such as ISO 9001. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential, as are excellent planning and time management skills. Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of AutoCad and/or other applicable 3-D design software package are also imperative. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communications skills with a focus on attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Some of these devices are used in sophisticated, compact and robust set-top boxes. Others can be used in video displays in a variety of settings. The primary focus of this job is the development of embedded and application software but one thing is for certain, this company doesn’t partition responsibilities between embedded, device driver and application development layer in the most rigid way.
