Customer Quality Engineer, $80-90K salary, North Dallas

You will take responsibility for ensuring compliance and proper integration of both the company’s requirements and the customer quality requirements regarding the products, services, and processes the company delivers. Requirements:
– Requires a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years experience in the areas of semiconductor manufacturing, product engineering, packaging, and quality engineering
– Experience in semiconductor qualification processes and reliability procedures, especially with regard to semiconductor packaging
– Expertise with industry standards such as ISO 9001, TS16949, WEEE, ELV, RoHS, and other agency compliance rules
– Experience tracking and reporting status of qualifications, including generating plans, reviewing test results, decision-making regarding non-compliant products, and working with internal factories, as well as external foundries and subcontractor assembly and test sites
– Enjoys frequent interaction with customers and internal groups involved with planning, product development, design, test, marketing, sales and manufacturing, across regional and global divisions
– Expertise in root cause identification, preventative actions, and corrective actions regarding quality issues in manufacturing and business processes
– Well-organized, proactive, highly motivated engineer with the ability to get results without possessing direct authority over various resources
– Should have good working knowledge of common software tools such as Web browsers (IE), Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Lotus Notes would be beneficial
– Expertise with problem solving methodologies such as 8D or PDCA
– Experience in Test and Process SPC is beneficial
– Hands-on ISO/TS Audit experience is a plus

Requirements:
– BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics is required
– 7+ years track record of recent experience, developing applications in C++/C#, .NET, along with thorough understanding and work with Linux and real-time operating systems
– Proficient in software architecture for blended host and embedded systems
– Experience with full life cycle development including reviewing requirements, designing and developing software, testing, and documentation in a setting requiring formal development standards
– Proficiency creating, parsing, and executing using XML
– Current proficiency developing with recent versions of Visual Studio (VS 2010 desirable) and Team Foundation Server
– Experience with multi-platform libraries, such as Boost or ThreadPool
– Experience developing iron python scripts, i.e., Lua
– Expertise in MS Office products including Visio
– Strong knowledge of electronics and electronic hardware functions
–Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills

Desirable Skills:
- Communication protocols, TCP/IP, RS232, Ethernet, and related protocols
- Knowledge of electronic test equipment. Optics or optical systems, nanotechnology, medical device, automation (including paper sorting, currency sorting), metrology, sensors are all good sources of experience. May consider telecom with the right combination of skills
- Strong cross-platform client/server expertise
- Candidate will likely have a primary Windows platform background coupled with some (at least) Linux experience

Small division of a larger company is seeking a firmware engineer with good background in hardware engineering. Will develop embedded software for GSM and possible GPS wireless consumer based electronics. Will help analyze hardware defects and troubleshoot advanced board level issues. Environment is 32bit and the company uses Infineon based solutions. Will wear many hats in a fast paced and ultra challenging environment.

Skills sought: 5 + yrs embedded/firmware. Strong hardware knowledge. Previous board level hardware design is a strong plus. Added pluses: Infineon solutions, GSM, GPRS, Zibgy, tracking devices, protocol stacks, cell phone design experience, wireless modem, strong embedded exp, device driver, C/C++. BSEE or BSCS ideal. Seeking senior level embedded / firmware engineer to work on exciting scientific applications involving sensors. A unique role that will offer exposure into image processing as well. Will work in a small vibrant, and well established company while wearing many hats. Most of the role is focused on very low level embedded software.

Skills sought include: 5-8+ firmware experience. Prefer a metrology, telecom or consumer electronics background. Must have heavy communication protocol / serial bus experience (TCP/IP, RS232, RS-485, Ethernet etc). Ideal candidate will have experience with MSP430, Dragonball or Renesas experience. Heavy C required. Prior experience with DC Motor control, relays, solenoid, analog or chemical sensors. Understanding of Modems and AT Commands. This role is closer to the hardware than application layer. Strong Physics/Mathematics background and plus coupled with BSEE. Must be willing to learn and expand skill base.
