As SIP Systems Engineer, you will evaluate and implement terminal products into existing SIP-IP and PBX Networks. You will perform assessments of existing client network infrastructures, document environments, install, configure, and test terminal network equipment. Responsibilities also include developing detailed test plans. You will work with clients and SMEs to develop detailed network designs and implementation plans, and manage projects including work planning, risk issues and reporting, and status updates. Requirements:
– 5+ years working in network infrastructure design, engineering, implementation, and/or support roles
– 5 years hands-on experience with more than one product in unified communications technologies, for example: IP PBX, media gateways, gatekeepers, switches, routers, firewalls, access controllers, access points, and voicemail servers
– Full working knowledge of all test tools for SIP management including WireShark
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; certifications such as CCIE, CCVP or related training desirable
– Knowledge of SIP-IP PBX networks, including voice (IPT, voicemail, mobility), data (LAN, WLAN, VPN and WAN) and network security issues
– Excellent project management and organizational skills; 2+ years of project management desirable
– Excellent communication skills, enjoy working in fast-paced environment, and willing to travel
– Desirable: detailed technical knowledge of unified communications products for one or more of the following: Cisco, Microsoft, HP, Avaya, Juniper, Nortel, Alcatal-Lucent, NEC, Siemens, Polycom, Toshiba
