General Job Description:
Project Engineering has many forms, from directing a team of individuals and keeping track of a project’s status to evaluating economic factors for future jobs. Project Engineers are responsible for overseeing the various stages of development for a variety of products and projects. It is their responsibility to make sure that the various parts are progressing and that the project works as a whole.

Project Engineers are generally involved at every level of development – from concept to production and everything in between. This often requires them to know about a broad range of subjects, from economics to materials.Engineers conduct and coordinate the planning, design, construction and alteration of electrical, mechanical, structural, gaseous and liquid systems in facilities and other structures. They also review and recommend action on engineering design development documents and construction documents to insure compliance with the specified designs and programs. The variety of tasks and greater level of responsibility require organization, patience and the ability to deal with people well.

New, entry level Engineering candidate will be involved in or develop the following while under direct supervision:

  1. Engineering Design Basis, Project Scoping, Project Costing, Project Tracking
  2. Piping and Systems Design
  3. Equipment & Instrumentation Specification & Selection
  4. Equipment Fabrication Design & QA
  5. Participate in Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews and Systems Startup
  6. Equipment and Systems Operations & Maintenance (i.e. as-building, performance evaluations, best practices, etc.)
  7. Equipment Decommission & Reuse
  8. Verify materials specified meet applicable codes
  9. Sizing PSV, Pressure and Flow control valves.
  10. Sizing gas scrubbers & nozzle locations
  11. Sizing three and two phase separators
  12. Sizing Heat exchangers
  13. Equipment and System Simulation
  14. Material Take Off and Bill of Material Generation
  15. Drawing & Sketch Red Lining
