Overall Responsibilities 
Perform as an integral team member in the development of stand-alone portable power solutions in order to meet prototype and product development timelines. As a Systems Engineer in the Engineering group, responsibilities will include: 
• Development of analytical models from first principles 
• Design, fabrication and testing of various components and sub-systems 
• Development of interface specifications 
• Assembly and testing of sub-systems and systems 
• Working with vendors on design and procurement of components 
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment 

Minimum Qualifications 
• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 
• 5+ years experience 
• Good hands on/laboratory skills 
• Good documentation skills 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
• Attention to detail 
• Good communication skills (oral and written) 
• Ability to mentor junior technologists 
• Proficiency in Office applications 

Desired Qualifications 
• M.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 
• 3+ years experience 

Experience in one or more of the following areas: 
• Fuel cell systems, preferably PEM/DMFC 
• Heat transfer and heat exchangers 
• Fluid transfer and pumps 
• Gas/liquid separation 
• Control systems and sensors 
• MEMs processing and devices 
• Math modeling/CFD experience 
• LabView experience 
• CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks

Position Profile: Work as a Transportation Technician 2 supporting the delivery of the Washington State Ferries Terminal Construction and Maintenance programs at 20 terminals located throughout Puget Sound.  Duties include assisting in the organizing and processing of construction documents, upland and marine surveying, assessing and documentation of terminal facilities and performing technical tasks for construction materials documentation and quality control.  Other duties include, assisting in design and preparation of maintenance contracts.   Successful candidate will be expected to develop an understanding of ferry terminal operations and to liaison with ferry operational staff and contractors.  

 

Successful candidate will:

  • Document contractor construction activities.
  • Maintain material documentation contract files.
  • Possess the capability to understand and perform sampling and testing of construction materials.
  • Read and understand construction plans, provisions, and project standards.
  • Launch and operate a boat with outboard motor.
  • Prepare as-built drawings from inspector’s markup.
  • Enter and retrieve data from menu-driven database programs.
  • Perform survey work
  • Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
  • Climb ladders over water, work at heights, and have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Desired Qualifications Include:

  • An Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, surveying, drafting or other closely related fields.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Work and Excel software.
  • Familiar with construction documents/records.

This role in some ways, functions as an application / product engineer who will provide reference circuits to help customers integrate audio components into their products. This is a hybrid Analog, digital and Acoustical systems role. This is not an IC Design engineering role; although an analog Audio IC engineer might be able to this job

Bring your audio knowledge and hardware design skills together in this exciting new role with a corporation developing futuristic wireless products to enable effective solutions. In this cross-functional role, you will evaluate, quantify, and assess the quality of current designs, while optimizing existing product requirements. You will also verify and update product audio specifications for existing products, including layout and placement guidelines for the audio components for headsets, handsets, speakerphone amplifiers, and microphones. Your desire to learn wireless technology and trends will enable you to propose future audio module designs and create standard test processes for evaluating them.
