Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing the overall workload of the Engineering and Quality Group
- Managing all engineering and design drawings of all products manufactured
- Creating, implementing, and maintaining Engineering and Quality procedures
- Managing all product certification procedures
- Maintaining engineering drawings, bill of materials, part numbering system(s) and specification updates for all products manufactured
- Establishing and implementing viable process improvement projects
- Implementing an ISO 9001 Quality System
Required Skills:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will hold an Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical discipline) and a minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role, as well as five years’ engineering and quality experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of a quality management system such as ISO 9001. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential, as are excellent planning and time management skills. Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of AutoCad and/or other applicable 3-D design software package are also imperative. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communications skills with a focus on attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

General Job Description:
System Engineer for the Force Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)/Battle Command Product Line (BCPL) program. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
• Analyze parts of a complex engineering system, for the purpose of developing, deriving, and documenting requirements and concepts of operation/execution
• Translate system requirements into required software requirements and ensure flowdown to software developers; complete preliminary software design based on approved requirements

• Knowledge of TCP/IP based networking, including typically used protocol stacks and formats
• Experience with MS Project, DOORS or some similar requirements or test management tool/system
Experience in the following areas is an asset:
• CCNA or equivalent networking experience
• Experience with Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest clients
• OO Software development experience, particularly in C++/Linux
• Previous experience on Army programs and battle management is desirable
Proficient with UML, particularly using Rational Rose; ability to produce use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, interface specifications, and class diagrams

Position Summary
Implement the production plan in the form of an operational schedule, with the appropriate fixed horizon, that minimizes inventory and maximizes efficient utilization of labor and production capacity.
· Perform capacity analysis for labor and production equipment to determine feasibility for the production plan.
· Create the short-term fixed schedule and orchestrate the implementation of that schedule.
· Update and monitor reporting systems to insure appropriate progress of the fixed schedule, vendor production, deliveries, and new product launches.
· Coordinate flow of packaging components from vendors to manufacturing operations or sub contractors.
· Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies within the department or assigned manufacturing area.
· Initiate and follow up on writ offs of rejected or obsolete finished goods, component or bulk product.
· Maintain finished goods “Q-Stat” report and expedite release of salable inventory and project releases dates to customer service departments.
· Generate all necessary and required reports in a timely manner.
· Implement all L’Oreal policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the Corporation’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and applicable safety and health procedures.
· Perform other duties as necessary or required.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Education:
BS/BA degree in Engineering/Business Management or equivalent experience.
