  • With input from customers via quotation and sales, formulates the process systems engineering design for all types of seabed processing solutions including subsea boosting, subsea water separation. subsea gas/liquid separation and boosting. subsea gas compression, raw seawater injection 
  • Perform FEED studies as well as detailed engineering studies to support projects, quotations and sales support related to various subsea process systems applications. 
  • Perform process engineering calculations or coordinate as necessary to develop process engineering design, and specifies subsea process system.
  • Overall separation system responsibility (external pie-separation, internal and downstream condition ,if necessary) 
  • Evaluate fluid properties and production profiles 
  • Prepare subsea process system design basis
  • Separator internals design. sizing, specification
  • Process simulations (steady state and dynamic) using HYSYS or equivalent o Chemical injection requirements 
  • Sand management design 
  • CFD analysis 
  • Define requirements for separation testing (if necessary) 
  • Inlet / outlet piping layout and equipment sizing from process perspective (effect on separation, flow regime, velocities, pressure drop, erosion, etc.) 
  • Subsea seawater cooler/heat exchanger process design specification for gas compression applications 
  • Define thermal insulation requirements for all subsea process system components 
  • Develop subsea process system operating guidelines 
  • Takes initiative to fully engage and “challenge” the product group and project team to ensure that pump system design is operable, safe and cost effective over the lifecycle of the field. 
  • Develop specifications of process related equipment to be procured from outside such as level measurement sensors, separation vessel. etc. 
  • Preparation of technical bid tables 
  • Vendor follow-up and suppliers documents comment — technical coordination meetings 
  • Lead or co-author external papers related to process design of subsea process systems for relevant conferences 
  • Prepares technical reports. PFDs. P&lDs, product data sheets for overall subsea process system including definition of instruments, location, selection of all process and control equipment. interface with other product group and project team members and work in a team environment.

Required Skills:ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good Communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) •Microsoft office (powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Access is plus) 
  • Experience in using process simulators such as PVTSim, HYSYS are required. Familiarity with PIPESIM. OLGA or equivalent are a plus. 
  • Promotes approved FMC/CDS process system solutions within sales presentations, FEEDs and projects.

Position Description: Provide Process Engineering assistance in support of Refinery goals/objectives. Position will include monitoring and troubleshooting the refining processes. Responsibilities will also include process design, project development, and economics and planning. Experience preferred in FCCU, Delayed Coking, CCR Platforming, High Severity Hydrotreating, and sulfur handling. Must be able to develop and/or maintain heat and material balances around process units and be experienced using Process Simulators and Distributed Control Systems. Operations or Supervisory experience is a plus. Other areas of interest include budgeting, LP development and operation, short/long term yield estimation, crude and product price forecasting, variable expense tracking, backcasting, and yield accounting support.
