As the Sr. Design Engineer in this wireless module group, you will design circulators and isolators that meet cost, performance and reliability standards. You will interface with US and global engineering, production and marketing teams to successfully launch new products. As a key part of the entire life cycle, you will work with colleagues to understand customer needs, then design, assemble and test engineering samples for new products. You will provide technical leadership for engineers and technicians in the circulator and isolator group, resolve system-level issues, manage new product introduction issues in the factory, and ensure successful product introductions. This is a hands-on position and includes the setting up, testing and troubleshooting of RF test benches and test fixtures. Additional responsibilities include working with vendors, test analysis, release of documentation packages, and presenting information to staff and management via conference calls and reports. Company will permit candidate to base in Dallas, San Jose, or may consider a telecommuting engineer. Salary is open and depends upon experience. Requirements:
– BSEE plus 5+ years experience with circulator and isolator design required
– Strong familiarity with design architecture platforms used in circulators
– Knowledge of appropriate material options for circulators, along with their cost and performance repercussions
– Must have experience in a high-volume factory setting
– Strong skills in AutoCad and / or similar CAD tools
– Expertise with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal analyzers, power meters, and passive components is required
– Experience in designing custom toolings and fixtures
– Knowledge of reliability and quality testing methods and quality standards in the electronics industry, especially those relevant to designing circulators and isolators
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Self-directed, with the ability to work well individually and also contribute to diverse, cross-functional teams

System Engineer for the Force Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)/Battle Command Product Line (BCPL) program. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
• Analyze parts of a complex engineering system, for the purpose of developing, deriving, and documenting requirements and concepts of operation/execution
• Translate system requirements into required software requirements and ensure flowdown to software developers; complete preliminary software design based on approved requirements

Provides design, layout and drafting support to engineers/drafters to ensure the efficient production of detailed design requirements for contract deliverables. Recommend working plans for delivery of contract compliant drawings, specifications and other CDRL requirements. Prepares or directs working plans, detailed drawings, and complete electromechanical drawings of components and assemblies from note, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes. Makes engineering computations, write specifications, and makes adjustments in drawings or layouts as directed or required. Orients, trains, and checks the work of others supplying drafting content to specific deliverables. The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position: 10 years experience directly related to this position.
Minimum of 10 years drafting experience in the electromechanical field. Must have general knowledge of mechanical & electromechanical design and be thoroughly familiar with recommended design/drafting standards. General knowledge of manufacturing practices and comprehensive working knowledge of DOD and commercial drawing specifications/requirements. Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, organized and ability to apply general drafting standards, principles, symbols and engineering terms to drawings a must. Complete working knowledge of AutoCAD required, Pro/E and SolidWorks are a plus.
Uses standard desktop (PC) computer Windows-based tools to produce original documents including ECOs, procedures and reports. The individual’s familiarity with AutoCAD software and knowledge of drafting specifications and standards enables performance of technical activities. This position requires physical ability to manuever around equipment in test labs; verbal acuity to clearly communicate with personnel; and manual dexterity sufficient to use keyboards and control panels.
