Job Description: The ideal candidate will have B.S. or M.S. in engineering, computer science or physics or in related fields with several years experience integrating complex electronic, data management, and hardware. He or she will be working in a fast-paced start-up, interacting with scientists and design engineers from a variety of backgrounds. The candidate will be responsible to ensure the quality of the SW features and user interface used in our products. The candidate will define metrics, write scripts and develop test protocols and tools to ensure the integration and verification of complex SW controls, tools and algorithms. He or she will work closely with the SW engineers to define specifications and will develop test plans, procedures and analysis tools. The candidate will document results and report test data to design and engineering teams. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, he or she must be a strong team player, able to take initiative, and detail oriented. The candidate will work closely with design teams to understand and resolve product performance issues.
Requirements
Position Requirements: – Advanced degree, or equivalent experience, in physics, engineering or related fields. – Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and executing software and hardware test plans. – Excellent knowledge of scripting language and object oriented SW (Java, C++ and C#) is a must – Familiarity with auto scripting tools is a plus. – Excellent trouble-shooting and data analysis skills. – Experience in working with test equipment is a must Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills – Product development and / or industry experience in a multi-disciplinary Biotech environment is a plus.

System Engineer for the Force Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)/Battle Command Product Line (BCPL) program. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
• Analyze parts of a complex engineering system, for the purpose of developing, deriving, and documenting requirements and concepts of operation/execution
• Translate system requirements into required software requirements and ensure flowdown to software developers; complete preliminary software design based on approved requirements

Overall Responsibilities
Perform as an integral team member in the development of stand-alone portable power solutions in order to meet prototype and product development timelines. As a Systems Engineer in the Engineering group, responsibilities will include:
• Development of analytical models from first principles
• Design, fabrication and testing of various components and sub-systems
