Ideal candidates will possess deep knowledge of construction and a proven track record working as an estimator and purchasing agent for a commercial general contractor in both bid and negotiated work. Strong leadership, team building, communication, and client relations skills are also required. Education and Experience: Candidates will ideally have a four year college degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture and a minimum of 7-10 years of construction experience most of which must involve estimating, bidding process (both private and public), purchasing (buy out) and interaction with clients. Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, Estimating software such as Timberline, and scheduling experience is a plus.

General Job Description :

Chief Estimator – Preconstruction A mid sized General Contractor ($30m) is seeking a Chief Estimator/Director of Preconstruction to lead estimating and purchasing efforts of the company. Ideal candidates will possess deep knowledge of construction and a proven track record working as an estimator and purchasing agent for a commercial general contractor in both bid and negotiated work. Strong leadership, team building, communication, and client relations skills are also required. Ideally, this Estimator will have a strong desire to grow into Management or an Executive role with the firm in the future.
