Job market appears strong for 2008 graduates

Diane Stafford of the Kansas City Star says that there are more job offers available for engineering graduates than there are engineers to fill them. That will be good news for entry level engineers as they head to the salary negotiating table. Read Diane’s article HERE As the baby boomers begin retiring en-masse, the opportunity for less experienced engineers to move up quickly to fill the void is enormous. The aerospace industry is projected to be particularly hard-hit by the attrition of senior engineers. If you have recently graduated or will be graduating with a degree in any engineering discipline, now is the time to work hard to position yourself for advancement.
