Required Skills :

It’s important that you have a background in either ethanol, chemical or refinery. 4 year degree in Engineering, Safety or Environmental sciences 5 years experience in operating industrial facility subject to OSHA 1910 and applicable EPA regulations or comparable experience. Experience with state pollution control standards.

Computer Skills:

Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets.

Supervisory Reponsibilities:

Management of professional and technical groups.

Physical Requirements:

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Job responsibilities include:

Responsible for managing all aspects of environmental, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be
assigned.

Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant performance. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permits under OSHA (including PSM), EPA, DENR, TTB, FRA and any other non-financial regulating body. Own overall management system structure for compliance assurance and integrate all
compliance tools into plant operations. Ensure all plant modifications receive appropriate permitting approval in timely
manner to support construction schedule and all plant/system changes are managed through plant Management of Change (MOC) procedure. Maintain positive, proactive relationships with all regulatory contacts creating easy communication flow and positive view of plant by regulators. Ensure systems are in place to provide complete compliance with all regulations. Ensure training systems provide proper platform to promote ever increasing standards for safe work execution. Work through plant leadership team to implement changes that increase performance in all EH&S areas. Development and implementation of plant improvement strategy. Ensure all required compliance audits are performed, gaps are communicated and deficiency plans are developed and implemented.
Develop leading and lagging measures that clearly articulate plant performance. Write monthly reports on accomplishments, gaps and improvement plan progress. Develop and implement succession plan for future plants and projects.
