You will possess the ability and expertise to write applications, device drivers, and everything in between. Working with a team of like-minded mobile handset engineers, you will build advanced middleware components for next-gen wireless handset. Requirements:
– Strong C++ / C / Java programming skills and experience with middleware components such as messaging, multimedia, file-systems, virtualization (micro-kernel), UI frameworks, COM and databases
– Expertise with Android software internals is required
– Ability to write device drivers for Android (LCS, Touch, USB, etc.)
– Able to design, measure, characterize and improve the performance of middleware modules to interact with various mobile platforms
– Experience with embedded systems and platforms, including at least one of the following RTOS: Nucleus, pSOS, RT-Linux, VxWorks, REX, etc.
– Expert embedded debugging skills, i.e., with a JTAG debugger
– Hardware knowledge to include TI-OMAP, Marvell-StrongARM, or SC64xx processors
– Travel overseas for 2-3 weeks at a time several times a year to assist with integration and other activities at customer sites and company offices
Highly Desirable:
– Knowledge of other mobile platforms such as Windows Mobile, Linux, BREW, Symbian or similar technologies
– Masters degree in CS desired but not required
