Required Engineering Major/Field : Electrical, Any Engineering Discipline

Required Skills :

  • Associates degree or BSEE or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Analog and digital electronic circuit test or design experience, especially with portable low current applications
  • PCB layout experience
  • Strong hands-on understanding of electronics, firmware, and software
  • Ability to use standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other electronic and power-related equipment
  • Ability to prototype electronic breadboards

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with QSR and MDD applications to the design of electronic devices
  • Embedded C language coding experience
  • Writing assembly code used on microcontrollers such as Microchip and 8051
  • RF or magnetics experience
  • Experience writing PC and PDA applications

General Job Description : This global leader in the medical device industry seeks a temporary Associate Electrical Engineer to assist with supporting the engineering of electronic aspects of its products. Responsibilities will include developing protocols for test verification and performing such testing, along with assisting quality assurance team with developing accurate and complete testing protocols. In addition, the engineer will specify and design test equipment, fixtures, procedures, and specs to support product targets. Excellent communication skills are needed to facilitate communication between various groups such as marketing staff, engineers, QA professionals and the manufacturing team.
