General Job Description:

Project Cost Analyst for the National Capital Region (NCR) Information Technology Support task order on the JRDC program at Falls Church, VA. This position supports a very diverse multi-disciplinary staff and large customer base which requires developing management level insights into technical efforts in the NCR IT organization. Responsible for developing / reporting of integrated technical, cost and schedule performance data in close coordination with project managers. This effort also requires close coordination with the Finance & Business and Contracts departments. Position requires providing assistance in proposal development, WBS definitions, baselines and forecasts, analyzing details of financial reports to understand cost discrepancies. Investigate and resolve issues in subcontract reporting and performance. Meet with senior Government customer on a monthly basis to ensure all parties are abreast of current financial and funding situation.

The following are the basic qualifications for this position: 3 years experience directly related to this position; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Proficient in accounting systems; Excellent PC skills including Excel and Word; Extensive Project Control background with a minimum of three (3) years experience using an Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS); Ability to work in a dynamic team environment; Extensive knowledge of the budgeting, forecasting and analysis cycle; Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Capable of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; Possess an understanding and application of accounting principles and standards. Top Secret clearance is required.

Experience in the following areas is preferred: Scheduling experience; Balance Sheet analysis and general ledger.
