Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing the overall workload of the Engineering and Quality Group
  • Managing all engineering and design drawings of all products manufactured
  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining Engineering and Quality procedures
  • Managing all product certification procedures
  • Maintaining engineering drawings, bill of materials, part numbering system(s) and specification updates for all products manufactured
  • Establishing and implementing viable process improvement projects
  • Implementing an ISO 9001 Quality System

Required Skills:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will hold an Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical discipline) and a minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role, as well as five years’ engineering and quality experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of a quality management system such as ISO 9001. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential, as are excellent planning and time management skills. Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of AutoCad and/or other applicable 3-D design software package are also imperative. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communications skills with a focus on attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
