Indiana Engineering Jobs See Boost from Cummins Expansion

Columbus based diesel engine specialist Cummins announce it would be adding 500 jobs, mostly in engineering and IT, over the next two years. The company will be expanding in to new office space near its headquarters to accommodate the new positions. Currently there are 66 jobs listed as available on the Cummins career website. Here are a few of the openings: 

  • Title: Application Engineer
    • This engineer will lead the Global G-Drive Application Support effort for a range of Generator-Drive engines within the product line which currently covers 15 ‘ 3741 BHP, (A-Series ‘ QSK78).
  • Title: Assembly Controls Engineer
    • This position is a member of the MidRange Manufacturing Engineering organization, which provides worldwide support to MidRange plants. This position will specifically provide support to the Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Company Joint Venture.
  • Title: Chief Engineer (Design Engineer Team Leader)
    • This position is the Customer Engineering VPI system team leader for a new MidRange VPI program, reporting to the Chief Engineer of MidRange Customer Engineering. The position will lead the design and development of Application options and components.
