Inspectors play a key role in supporting Operating Area Teams on issues affecting equipment reliability. As an Inspector your primary responsibilities will include performing on-stream and shutdown inspection of refinery static equipment utilizing routine and advanced NDE inspection techniques to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with applicable industry codes and standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining complete, detailed and accurate equipment inspection records including entry into Inspection data management software. You will also be responsible for establishing inspection plans, NDE testing frequencies and test locations based on historical records and possible modes of deterioration and awareness of unit operations. You will analyze equipment histories and on-stream monitoring data to establish remaining life, recommended repairs, and projected equipment replacement dates. Identification of cost effective technically acceptable repair methods including weld requirements and post weld heat treat requirements are also primary responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring code compliance of static equipment repairs, and monitoring relief valve maintenance records to establish testing intervals based on test results.
