You will respond to customer requests via phone and email to diagnose problems and provide fixes in a timely manner. This is a mission-critical role since the simulators are an important customer tool. You will also work occasionally at customer sites to assist with maintenance and updates when training, installation, or configuration of new systems is needed. You will use your Perl scripting skills to add new application features and to improve real-time reporting and monitoring. Scheduling coordination of installations and updates and assisting the development team will be part of this role. Requirements:
– Bachelors Degree preferred
– 2-4+ years of related job experience
– OpenGL or 3D Graphics or video gaming experience (plus)
– Flight Simulation experience a huge plus
– Fluent in Perl programming on Linux.
– QNX or other RTOS
– Tk/TK or shell scripting (korn, c-shell, awk etc)
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Familiarity with ssh and Linux command-line scripting
– Experience with Object-Oriented Perl programming
– Previous experience with customer support
– Willingness to travel
