Principal Systems Engineer, Algorithm, North Dallas, $38-57 per hour, contract to hire (possible but not absolute)
An innovative high-tech global corporation providing product protection services to large companies and government agencies seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to develop and document mathematical models, algorithms, pseudo code, and simulation results for their leading-edge solutions. Responsibilities include optimizing the performance of integrated systems by applying your knowledge of mathematical statistics and computer programming to solve complex issues. In addition, you will interact with technicians, engineers, scientists and program managers working across multiple disciplines such as optics, embedded systems, mechanical systems, high-performance analog and materials science, working in tandem to provide solutions for customer needs. This role will include publishing in scientific and trade journals and requires excellent presentation skills as well. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and will provide full benefits upon conversion to employee status. Requirements:
– BSEE, BSCS, or Bachelors in Mathematics or Applied Physics is the minimum requirement; Masters Degree preferred
– 8+ years of relevant experience using in curve fitting, linear algebra, system identification, statistics, and track record of solving complex problems using those methods
– Track record of developing professional application software using C, C# and the Microsoft .NET framework and MS Visual Studio
– Experience with using simulation tools such as MATLAB to analyze complex systems
– Excellent presentation and documentation skills
– Experience working in a cross-functional team environment to produce customer solutions
– Working knowledge of spectroscopy, chemometrics, metrology, optoelectronics and nanotechnology applications is highly desirable
