RF Module Design Engineer, $90 to low 100’s target, North Dallas Suburbs

Primary tasks will include GaAs-based amplifier radio frequency integrated circuits along with hybrid connector module design. You will assist with integrating the company’s products into rugged housings for military, aerospace, and testing systems. Serve as key engineering contact to the marketing team to establish specs and goals for new modules, perform linear and non-linear simulations, and evaluate models in this varied, fast-paced role. Requirements:

– BSEE or equivalent education and experience required; MSEE desirable, plus 7+ years of experience
– Experience in designing components using the following processes: InGaP HBT, GaAs HBT, and GaAs pHEMT with a focus on class A and AB high linearity amplifiers up to 5W thru 6GHz
– Additional experience using technologies such as GaAsMESEFT, SiGe HBT, SiGe BiCMOS and GaN HEMT
– Experience working with technical and non-technical teams to bring products to market in a fast-paced, high tech company
– Track record in establishing product specs for new radio frequency and microwave ICs and hybrid RF / Microwave modules, and testing models to see if they meet specifications
– Experience using Agilent ADS software for integrated circuit simulations, and with ADS or Cadence to perform layouts
– Experience in design and test of hybrid modules, including thin and thick film substrates, network matching, circuitry control, etc., using MMIC integrated circuits and passives to create total module solutions
– PCB design and layout for testing and tuning of radio frequency integrated circuits
– Experience with design review documentation, supporting peer design reviews, and presenting simulations and results to peers and stakeholders
– Track record of scheduling and working with off shore teams to produce products
– Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
– Ability to work with teams and independently and to meet multiple challenging design and production deadlines on time
