Job Title: Senior Design Drafter

Job Location:  San Diego, CA

Job Type: 8-10 Week Contract

Pay Type: Hourly

Maximum Pay:  $61.00

Minimum Pay: $28.00

Required Engineering Field/Major: Engineering

General Job Description:

Work from design specifications and/or finished design layouts where design patterns have been established. Provide all critical dimensions and tolerances, specify materials, finishes and other general or specific notes per ASME Y14.5M required. Perform changes on layouts of major/minor assemblies, as well as, mechanical, electrical, and cable drawings according to specifications and/or general instructions. Attention to detail, speed, accuracy and ability to apply general drafting standards, principles, symbols and engineering terms to drawings a must.

General knowledge of manufacturing practices and comprehensive working knowledge of DOD drawing specifications/requirements.

Complete working knowledge of AutoCAD required.
Pro/E and SolidWorks are a plus.

Assets:
Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical and electrical components, cable design.
Specific, in-depth, working knowledge of commercial and military drafting specifications/standards

 

Required Skills: design specifications- Pro/E and SolidWorks are a plus.
