BSEE Minimum, (Mandatory) MSEE preferred. 5-8 Years experience in the field of PWM (Pulse Width Modulators) power conversion electronics and controls. Contemporary DSP applications design, programming, and debugging. Systems dynamics analysis tools (impedance analyzer, LabView, scopes, high speed data aquisition, scopes, accelerometers, MatLab). C, C+, C++ Programming Acceptable Candidaates will need to know how to convert power to kinetic energy.
General Job Description :
Design, develop, analyze and integrate electronic/DSP (Digital Signal Processing)/magnetic/digital control systems. Develop prototypes, controls costs of electronic system hardware and software including the creation of pre-engineering documentation. Contribute in major cross-functional global concept development teams as necessary, to ensure project objectives are met; provide measures of progress against the objectives and key targets, such as project costs. Some domestic or international travel to meet objectives. Aid advanced engineering programs by building prototype systems from specifications. Evaluate performance, troubleshoot, and resolve any design problems. Determine if system meets performance requirements through testing. Program/debug contemporary DSP devices. Advise and resolve issues of new technologies introduced to the market. Interface with service personnel and/or customers, on site, if necessary. Design enclosures, harnesses, assemblies and selects interconnecting devices and other components as required. Designs and lays out complex PC boards. Develop basic documentation packages. Research and introduce new electronic components, modules, software functions, and technologies for incorporation in electronic systems, and provide conceptual designs as appropriate. Contribute to projects or aspects of larger projects (+$200K), coordinate technical aspects of project management, and provide technical assistance to personnel assigned to, or supporting projects. Keep abreast of changes and advancements in electronics, components and concepts, both within and outside the field of ultrasonic industrial equipment, which offer the opportunity for new or improved processes, or which may be competitive threats.
