Required Skills: -BSME required; additional training or MSME desirable, 5 to 7 years of mechanical design experiance

-Broad exposure to both mechanical and electrical fields

-Experience with a wide variety of materials, ie plastics, SLAs, and sheet metals

-Experience with 3D modeling software (ProEngineer) required

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines

-Telecommunications equipment background is desirable

General Job Description: Take on the challenge of this exciting Senior Mechanical Engineer position with a growing company providing design, documentation and testing of customized components needed by telecom companies to remain competitive as they upgrade to the next generation of delivery infrastructure. By partnering with large companies in the telecom equipment industry, this firm and its experienced management team are poised for significant growth. The successful candidate will join an expert team that designs, engineers, documents and tests customized kits for telecom equipment enclosures. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will develop design specs for custom-tailored components from client requirements. Work with US and off-shore partners to create products and tooling. Communication with international teams will likely take place outside normal working hours. The engineer will assist with prototype assembly, component testing, test reports, spec sheets, and general technical reports as needed.
