This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established (25+ years old) scientific instrument company that has never had a company-wide layoff!!! This highly visible role will focus on advanced Mechanical Designs in a leading edge SolidWorks and scientific instrumentation environment. Systems involve Optical electronics (opto-electronics), electro-mechanical, packaging, fasteners, plastic molded parts (will work with third party vendors), aluminum, air flow and thermal analysis. The Key to success in this role will be finding an extremely productive, high achiever representing the upper echelon of the talent base. May consider contract to hire option.

Skills sought: BSME. 5-10+ Years of advanced Mechanical Design in a Telecom, medical device, nano-tech or scientific electronics environment. Heavy SolidWorks experience a must have. Extremely productive worker with superior Mechanical design skills. Past experience with Sheet-metal, packaging, bracket design, fasters. Thermal, fluid or air flow analysis. Must feel comfortable working in a small environment, with fellow engineers, programmers, scientists and Optical engineers with a physics background. This is fast paced but rewarding.
