This world class leader in the wireless components sector is experiencing growth and requires your advanced expertise and creative talents. As the Sr. Design Engineer in this wireless module group, you will design circulators and isolators that meet cost, performance and reliability standards. You will interface with US and global engineering, production and marketing teams to successfully launch new products. As a key part of the entire life cycle, you will work with colleagues to understand customer needs, then design, assemble and test engineering samples for new products. You will provide technical leadership for engineers and technicians in the circulator and isolator group, resolve system-level issues, manage new product introduction issues in the factory, and ensure successful product introductions. This is a hands-on position and includes the setting up, testing and troubleshooting of RF test benches and test fixtures. Additional responsibilities include working with vendors, test analysis, release of documentation packages, and presenting information to staff and management via conference calls and reports. Company will permit candidate to base in Dallas, San Jose, or may consider a telecommuting engineer. Salary is open and depends upon experience. Requirements:
– BSEE plus 5+ years experience with circulator and isolator design required
– Strong familiarity with design architecture platforms used in circulators
– Knowledge of appropriate material options for circulators, along with their cost and performance repercussions
– Must have experience in a high-volume factory setting
– Strong skills in AutoCad and / or similar CAD tools
– Expertise with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal analyzers, power meters, and passive components is required
– Experience in designing custom toolings and fixtures
– Knowledge of reliability and quality testing methods and quality standards in the electronics industry, especially those relevant to designing circulators and isolators
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Self-directed, with the ability to work well individually and also contribute to diverse, cross-functional teams
– Background in a MMIC/ Wireless module environment
