Projected Opening for a position that will work, qualify and validate the performance or effectiveness of highly complex application specific sensors, instruments, algorithms and sub-systems deployed to authenticate engineered material configurations. Knowledge / Skills / Experience Requirements:
– Working knowledge spectroscopy, electronics, optoelectronics and nanotechnology applications is highly desirable including effective use of laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, digital voltmeters and application specific microscopes
– Must have superior ability and enabling experience troubleshooting complex multi-disciplined engineered sub-systems that contain analog and digital electronics, embedded and system level software, custom optical and mechanical sub-assemblies and multiple system level interfaces to third party capital equipment that may result in direct communication to technologists and product developers for the purpose of driving follow-on development tasks that will result in fulfilling customer requirements
– Excellent publishing and presentation skills along with ability to work with technicians, engineers, scientists and program managers in an environment that requires teamwork and integration of technology from multiple engineering disciplines including optics, high performance analog, embedded systems, mechanical systems and materials science into whole solutions
– Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
– Perform verification and validation testing to support new product introductions including benchmarking NPIs against competitive offerings whenever applicable along with releasing archival documents that contain test results including recommendations that may result in continual improvement of test systems and test methods
– Proactively work with clients to complete tasks and achieve milestones that result in purchase orders, product acceptance, corrective action and key sales objectives
*Require 4+ years of systems or applications engineering experienced related to semiconductor automations/metrology, sensor design or spectrometry in general
