Systems Engineering Analyst, $65-75K target, Tarrant County, TX

Our Fort Worth-area client company seeks an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist customers with customized product applications. You will apply existing products to customer needs, design system architecture where appropriate, create project plans, and manage products to completion. Additional responsibilities include defining and documenting new product concepts, new features, and enhancements to existing products. Approximately two-thirds of your time will be spent working closely with both the development team and the customer to determine appropriate product and feature mix, develop requirements, and create a plan for execution and delivery of the project. Approximately fifteen percent of time will involve analyzing existing products for flaws, documenting issues, and developing system change requests. You will assist with costing and pricing exercise in support of negotiation strategies. You will also support marketing with proposal development, customer site visits, and presentations. Approximately ten percent of your time will be spent defining new products and fresh concepts, and the system requirements for them. Requirements:

– Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required (may consider Civil Engineering)
– Three years job related experience
– Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Visio
– Skilled in the use of standard engineering processes
– Firm understanding of basic statics and dynamics principles
– Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
– Customer-facing experience and polished presentation skills
– Knowledge of software design process and C/C++ very important
