This career role as Test Engineer at a rapidly-growing wireless corporation will allow you to work with new wireless technologies daily.  This is a contract position with a target of 2-3 months.  You’ll conduct product testing, validation and evaluation of GSM/GPRS devices. Requirements:

– Bachelor’s in Engineering with 5 years experience or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience

– Troubleshooting skills and experience focusing on computers and wireless technology

– Experience testing GSM/GPRS/EDGE etc. equipment and/or mobile stations

– Strong communication and technical documentation skills

– Ability to work independently and as a member of a team under general supervision

– Must be familiar with white box and black box testing approaches and have the ability to develop test scenarios for exceptions and boundary conditions

– Knowledge of the following is a plus: ProComm, HyperTerminal, visual basic language, test scripts, C, and/or C++

– Thermal Testing experience

– Thermal Simulation experience

– Front Panel and Cabinet Design

– Material Cost Optimizer

– Familiarity with high performance electronics design solutions such as Icepak, FloTherm, or CF Design. Strongly prefer Icepak.
