- Demonstrate knowledge of industry design and drafting standards and practices. - Demonstrate knowledge of CAD (AutoCad preferred) techniques and procedures. – Demonstrate knowledge of commercial part availability and ability to work with vendors on specifying components. - Demonstrate ability to work well with personnel of all departments to assure cooperation on assigned projects. - Demonstrate ability to direct efforts of drafting-technical personnel. - Demonstrate ability to manage own time to assure schedule completion of assigned tasks. - Demonstrate ability to manage portions of a project, under direction of the Project Engineer, including scheduling, timely completion, coordination of Engineering resources and follow up to accomplish the project.

General Job Description :

- Develop design lay-outs or schematics from conceptual state, under direction of the Project Engineer. - Create detailed design from lay-out or schematic, including commercial parts specification, parts lists, assembly drawings, users manuals and any other necessary documentation. - Manage small projects or components of major projects, under the direction of the Project Engineer. - Direct Drafting personnel or other technical resources assigned to assist a Design Engineer. - Provide design and checking support to other Design/Drafting personnel. - Maintain CAD files and back-ups in accordance with established procedures. - Support Sales/Marketing in the creation of concept drawing and floor plans. - Participate in weekly clean-up sessions. - Will travel as required.
