Your expertise in managing handset design applications from concept stage to market launch will assist this emerging growth company in its mission to bring financial applications to the wireless world. You will take charge of design, development, testing and support of handset applications across a range of wireless technologies. Responsibilities will include management of the technical lifecycle of a handset product group, including assessment, testing, documentation and operational support. Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will play a strategic leadership role in product definition and design and coordinate with third party service providers. Requirements

– 5+ years experience with handsets and handset OEMs in the wireless telecom field
– Must have strong track record of developer experience with GSM handset applications
– Expertise with a range of wireless technologies such as Java, SMS, WAP, and USSD
– Strong familiarity with SIM Toolkit preferred

RF Module Design Engineer in Dallas, TX

RF Module Design Engineer, $90 to low 100’s target, North Dallas Suburbs

Primary tasks will include GaAs-based amplifier radio frequency integrated circuits along with hybrid connector module design. You will assist with integrating the company’s products into rugged housings for military, aerospace, and testing systems. Serve as key engineering contact to the marketing team to establish specs and goals for new modules, perform linear and non-linear simulations, and evaluate models in this varied, fast-paced role. Requirements:

– BSEE or equivalent education and experience required; MSEE desirable, plus 7+ years of experience
– Experience in designing components using the following processes: InGaP HBT, GaAs HBT, and GaAs pHEMT with a focus on class A and AB high linearity amplifiers up to 5W thru 6GHz
– Additional experience using technologies such as GaAsMESEFT, SiGe HBT, SiGe BiCMOS and GaN HEMT
– Experience working with technical and non-technical teams to bring products to market in a fast-paced, high tech company
– Track record in establishing product specs for new radio frequency and microwave ICs and hybrid RF / Microwave modules, and testing models to see if they meet specifications
– Experience using Agilent ADS software for integrated circuit simulations, and with ADS or Cadence to perform layouts
– Experience in design and test of hybrid modules, including thin and thick film substrates, network matching, circuitry control, etc., using MMIC integrated circuits and passives to create total module solutions
– PCB design and layout for testing and tuning of radio frequency integrated circuits
– Experience with design review documentation, supporting peer design reviews, and presenting simulations and results to peers and stakeholders
– Track record of scheduling and working with off shore teams to produce products
– Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
– Ability to work with teams and independently and to meet multiple challenging design and production deadlines on time

Basic Qualifications & Certifications:

• RF Signal Enhancement
Design and implementation of RF signal enhancement, BDA/DAS systems, for buildings, arenas and other structures.
• Microwave Links
Design of microwave links for voice and data applications including SCADA (supervisory, control and data acquisition), two-way radio, LAN/WAN and Telco bypass, campus and wide area networking links.
• Site Surveys
Survey existing or proposed communications sites or locations to assess the suitability of the area for communications electronics and path to other locations. This includes grounding standards, power requirements, interference issues, accessibility, security and Electromagnetic emissions mitigation.

This position will be responsible for design, procurement, installation, maintenance of various automated production machinery in a high volume, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for facilitating, organizing, and integrating engineering projects associated with the procurement of assembly equipment and physical capital plant assets that will enhance and improve production methods within a high-volume manufacturing facility. Projects are expected to be performed in a manner consistent with Departmental procedures. The Project Engineer will confer with outside vendors to coordinate purchases, shipments and installation of upgraded equipment within the manufacturing plant.

Required Skills

The preferred candidate for the Project Engineer should have at least a BSME, BSEE, or equivalent degree in mechanical, electrical, or controls related field and at least three(3) years of industrial machinery design and installation and some proven success in project management and capital equipment procurement in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The successful candidate should also be familiar with implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives; preferably certified as green or black belt.
