Finally, a functioning homepage

Well, after putting it off for quite some time we’ve finally fixed our homepage, www.hire-engineers.com/index.php . Feel free to bookmark that page as the launching point for getting to the blog or posting jobs.Development is progressing well on our user account system. This system will allow all of our users to create their respective profiles, track job postings or applications/matches and all that good stuff. For those of you that have already registered with our site via our previous method, we will be sending you emails with invitations to our beta account system. You will be able to get first crack at trying out the new features and providing us with valuable feedback. Thanks again to all of you that use Hire-Engineers.com and continue to spread the word!

The Future of the Engineering Job Hunt

What is the future of the engineering job search, and job searching in general? Hopefully it’s a lot different than the status quo. The majority of major employers of engineers have moved to an almost exclusively online application process which has a variety of implications for the job seeker. Of course, due to the internet age, most of us head straight for the online job boards when beginning the search for new career opportunities. Despite the best efforts of users, it is really difficult to get good matches with todays online job boards. Monster, Career Builder, Dice and the others all use different methodologies to match the information you input against the job descriptions they have in their databases and none of them come out a true winner.

Hire-Engineers.com is here to change all that, and change the future of the engineering job hunt. We are currently developing what will surely be a breakthrough in online job search technology, bringing enhanced function and relevancy to an arena in which it’s severely lacking. Soon, you will be able to find any engineering job in any field, from aerospace engineering jobs to civil engineering to nuclear engineering… they will all be here.
