Senior Project Engineer in Boston, MA

Our client is looking for an Engineer with a minimum of seven years experience in the utility engineering field designing, managing, and constructing sanitary/storm sewer, and water distribution systems. This position is located south of Boston, MA.
Candidate should be familiar with CMOM/GASB standards and their implementation.
Responsibilities include developing proposal for and executing the design and service related work scope for collection/distribution systems, and other underground asset systems, interface with clients, and regulatory agencies, management of construction contracts, and other subcontract entities in service delivery.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of seven years experience in the utility engineering field designing, managing, and constructing sanitary/storm sewer, and water distribution systems.
- Experience in SSES work on collection systems, piping rehab techniques, PACP pipe inspection, and the development and programming of piping system rehab programs.
- System asset management based GIS experience a plus.
EDUCATION and/or LICENSING needed for this position:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Must be a Registered Professional Engineer.

This position defines and monitors quantitative operator performance statistics and is responsible for utilizing production techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, to design, modify, implement, and predict department workflows. Individual will be responsible for forecasting, capacity planning and maximizing utilization and efficiency of operators and equipment to ensure optimal performance. The Production Engineer is responsible for creating and owning standard operating procedures, the physical layout of the department and workflow cycle time. This position will have strong collaboration with the Quality Engineers and will provide assistance and direction for resolving production-related issues to ensure all key service levels are maintained at or above client expectations. May serve as a back up when the Operations Manager is offsite. This person is responsible for end-to-end flow and cycle time throughout the organization as it impacts workflow within their department. Knowledge of production environments is preferred; demonstrate experience in workflow optimization; lean six sigma knowledge preferred.

General Job Description:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The central engineering group process engineers are responsible for implementation of waste reduction and productivity improvements on common processes across multiple sites.
