Hardware Engineer, Salary DOE, N. Dallas Suburbs

Your wide range of hardware design skills, along with your electro-optical and / or RF products experience are sought by this growing company which serves large organizations designing a wide range of products. As Senior Electrical Engineer you will create specs, design, fabricate and test devices along with other hardware and software engineers. Your technical problem-solving abilities, hardware specification and architecture definition skills, and strong analog circuit design experience will contribute to the company’s success. This role is roughly 85% Digital and 15% analog in focus. Requirements:

– BS required; MS desirable
– 10+ years product design and development (all board level), including analog circuit design
– Track record of developing Hardware specifications and defining architecture of hardware devices
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Electrical CAD software experience, with programs such as SuperSpice, OrCAD, Protel or Schematica
– Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, small company environment
– Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it is desirable
– Other desirable experience includes experience with precision instrumentation, electro-optical systems, battery-operated and handheld devices, RF, Spice simulation, switching power supplies, ISO 9000 standards, embedded processors, and FPGA/ ASIC
– Previous Optics, Optical Design, RF Optics etc very helpful. Ideal candidate would be a board designer from telecom or scientific (medical instruments or otherwise) electronics/instrumentation.

RFIC Layout / Design Engineer in Dallas, TX

RFIC Layout / Design Engineer, Contract, $45-60 per hour, N. Dallas Suburbs/ Asia

Travel to Asia! Meet the challenge of project work on the latest mobile products at this world-class Fortune 500 Corporation. Your expertise in RFIC layout and design with wireless transceivers for mobile handset applications and your many years of working with Cadence SpectraRF or later updates will be an asset to the team. You will work towards a tape out involving the deep submicron CMOS process. You will modify, optimize, and perform some RFIC circuit design. This contract opportunity is anticipated to take last for 4 to 6 months. International travel is required. There are two options, but the most plausible will be that you will be stationed overseas for 2-3 months and then return to DFW (or perhaps stationed elsewhere depending on special circumstances).

Requirements:

– BSEE or MSEE from an accredited university is required
– 8-10+ years experience in RFIC layout with strong expertise in RF circuits and large blocks of digital circuits on the same CMOS substrate
– Strong experience with Cadence SpectraRF or later updates for extraction and simulation required
– Specific experience with handset transceiver applications for commercial mobile devices preferred
– Ability and willingness to work in Asia for extended time periods of up to 3 months
– Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the project

Fantastic role working with a privately owned organization who is dominating their market-place. They currently hold over 50% of the market-share nation wide for their primary customer industry. This small (<200) but growing and profitable firm that has doubled its revenue is the last 3 years is seeking an embedded software engineer to work on advanced video streaming, and MPEG decoders for video content delivery and sophisticated, compact and robust set-top boxes. In this position you will develop embedded and application code. An adjacent role will focus on higher level application development using Linix and Java!. Positions will focus on the development of software for Video streaming, RF and MPEG Decoders. You will also develop and integrate software in full-life cycle projects for both custom projects, and core products. This will be a challenge and the work is fast paced and refreshing.
